Daddy and Aiden

Here is what happens on my late nights at work when Dusty has Aiden by his self.

This is Daddy's version of tummy time. Who needs a tummy time mat when you have a new gun!

Aiden is trying to figure out how to reach the trigger.

Still trying to figure it out.

It is twice as long as he is!

Daddy feeding Aiden. Notice how he has his leg in the bumbo and is resting his elbow on it. His Daddy must have taught him that!

4 months old!

I cannot believe my baby is 4 months old. He is growing up way to fast. We took him to the doctor for his 4 month check up and he weighed 13 pounds 13 ounces and is 25.5 inches long. He is a tall skinny boy. Also the docotor told us that we could start cereal. It is so much fun watching Aiden learn how to eat. He is very messy but we have a good time with it.

Here is Aiden in his 12 month onsie. I don't think he will fit into it at 12 months.

First bite of food. He is not so sure about it.

He does decide he likes it after a few bites.

In fact, he likes it so well he tries to lick it off his hands. What a messy boy!

We ended up wearing more than he ate but you have to start some where!

Aiden's first Halloween

We were so excited to dress Aiden up for his first Hallloeen. We only took him to trick or treat at our families house since he really could not have candy.

Thank you to everyone who made Aiden's first Halloween special!

Daycare

Aiden started daycare this past week. I think it was harder on Mommy than it was on Aiden. He only went half days this week. He seemed to enjoy playing with the other children and his teachers. Mommy watches online every chance to make sure he is okay! Here are a few pics of our first week at daycare.

This is the week before when we visited. Aiden is with Ms. Carrie.

She is feeding him his first bottle at daycare.

Eventful bathroom break

I have found that traveling with a child can cause a simple bathroom break to a major event. Here is the story of what happened on our first stop on the way home.

Aiden first got a little poopy on his shirt. No big deal I think - I have an extra one in the diaper bag. I'll just take it off.

I flip down the diaper changing station and have to stand on my tiptoes to be able to change him. I get everything out and Aiden up on the table.

I get his diaper off and he kicks his foot in the poop. Oh well, I have another pair of socks in the diaper bag. By now Aiden is completely undressed. I try to wipe the poopy off his back and decide that it would be easier to just pick him up and wipe his back off. Bad idea!!

Yep - that is exactly what you think it is! He peed all over my shirt and

my pants - in fact in went all the way into my shoes!! I do not tend to carry extra clothes for myself so I get to ride 300 miles with Aiden pee on me!!

The end result--

A mess in the bathroom floor - and yes that is pee all in the floor!

and a clean happy baby - with his Aunt April who thought the whole situation was hilarious!!

In the mean time, Dusty had came back in the restraunt twice to see if he could figure out what was going on. The bathroom only had 2 stalls and we took up one for over 15 minutes. The line to the restroom was long and people were complaining! Oh well - my little got a clean butt!

The rest of the beach trip and the car ride home

We are on our way home from our first vacation with Aiden. It was wonderful showing him all the things we love to do. He seemed to enjoy them as well.

A family pic - it was really windy
